COVID-Q9 Safety - advice for all users of Body Language PT

Body Language Personal Training: Current COVID-19 Safety Plan

Guidelines for safe use of the gym @ 15 June 2020

  • Always bring a towel to the gym and place it on every bench, mat and seat (e.g. Leg Press) you use during your workout. Use your towel to wipe down this piece of equipment before and after you complete your exercise/set and if necessary, with an anti-bacterial cloth (these are available from the front counter)

  • Bring your own water bottle with you for every training session. (Bottles of water are also available for purchase, only $2.50).

  • Wipe your face with a towel, not your hands (Consider bringing two towels, one to place on a bench, seat or mat and one to wipe your face)

  • Consider using weight-lifting gloves to minimise direct contact with barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells

  • Use Hand Sanitiser or wash your hands with soap and water, before and after training.

  • Wipe down your equipment before and after use (Your trainer will assist with this)

  • Covering coughing or sneezing with a tissue or elbow (not your hand), dispose of tissues, and use one of the alcohol-based hand sanitisers located at the front counter

  • Avoid touching of eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands

  • Be aware of social distancing – try to keep 1.5m away from other gym users

  • Minimise skin contact with others (e.g. shaking hands, high-fives)

  • If you happen to use your smartphone during your workout, consider wiping your screen with an anti-bacterial cloth before you leave the gym.

  • Stay at home if you have a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath (see your Doctor if you have any of these signs and/or symptoms).
